Emergency Reception Centre Closed Saturday, June 7, 2025 to Process Hotel Renewals for Evacuees

The Dawson Creek Emergency Reception Centre will reopen on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at City Hall, 10105 12A Street. The Dawson Creek ESS Team will be on site to assist with food, lodging and supply renewals for Kelly Lake and One Island Lake evacuees.

  • Location: Main Level, City Hall, 10105 12A Street 
  • Hours: 10:00hrs to 14:00hrs 
  • ESS Support Line: 1-250-784-4681 – support will be available from 8:00hrs to 17:00hrs

The City of Dawson Creek’s Annual Report for 2024 has been prepared and is now available for public inspection. The report can be viewed at City Hall, located at 10105 12A Street, upstairs in the Administration Department during regular business hours. It is also available for viewing on the website at: 2024 Annual Report.

The Dawson Creek Emergency Reception Centre has relocated from Sudeten Hall to City Hall, 10105 12A Street for the duration of Wednesday, June 4 to Friday, June 6. The Dawson Creek ESS Team will be on site to continue supporting Kelly Lake and One Island Lake evacuees with food, lodging and supplies.

Emergency Reception Centre Relocates to Sudeten Hall to Support One Island Lake Evacuees

At 18:45hrs on June 3, 2025, the Peace River Regional District issued an Evacuation Order for the Kiskatinaw River Wildfire (G70422) upon recommendation from BC Wildfire Service due to immediate danger to life safety.  

In response, the Dawson Creek Emergency Reception Centre has relocated to Sudeten Hall, 1901 Alaska Highway to support evacuees from the One Island Lake community.
